Presidential Speeches

Like the two candidates last night, we too are going to write speeches discussing our victory or our loss in an election.

1) Read the speeches from last night:

2) Think about what the speeches are saying. What does it mean to win? What does it mean to lose? What does each candidate say to the other or to the other's followers? What does it mean to be a good leader? What does it mean to be gracious?

3) Write a speech that is AT LEAST 125 words that you would give if you won the election.

4) Write a speech that is AT LEAST 125 words that you would give if you lost the election.
